Colour: Gold.
Nose: Epitomical old Islayer
Mouth: Winning combo of citrus fruits and peat here. Kumquats, cough syrup, mastic, kippers (a lot of salt), salted buttered fudge, lemon liqueur, smoked tea, pine resin…
Finish: Rather long, very complex, ending up on something like salted liquorice and caramel sweets.
Comments: Amazing whisky, but that’s no breaking news.
