Chinaco tequilas are one of the very few tequilas (perhaps the only) made outside of Jalisco, Mexico by special writ of the Mexican government.

Chinaco is the only tequila brand distilled in Tamaulipas, something they had to fight the Mexican government to do as it wasn’t a designated region for the production of tequila. Their reposado tequila is aged between 8-11 months in oak, some of which previously were used to age Scotch whisky. No caramel coloring, oak extract, glycerin, or sugar is added.
Chinaco Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright tropical fruit notes.
Palate: The palate is soft and creamy smooth with gentle baking spices and bitter lime pith.
Finish: The finish is smooth.

Tequilera La Gonzaleña is a tequila producer based in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas . Here, among other things, the Tequila Chinaco brand in the varieties Blanco , Reposado and Añejo produced, which is mentioned in US magazines always among the best Tequilas and has already won several awards. The Tequilera La Gonzaleña is led by the Mexican regulatory authority CRT under the names NOM 1127 and DOT 110.
