Lots of sherry and fruit in this, Glenfarclas 12 was originally bottled for export and travel retail markets. In 2006, it was named the “Best Sherried Whisky” in the Single Malt World Cup, and in 2007 and 2008 it won Gold at the Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival.

Nose: Fresh with dried cherries and prunes, oak, and spiced Rum.
Palate: Notes of cherries, honeyed oak, sweet malt and peat.
Finish: Long and smooth with a lingering bit of spice.

Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland. Glenfarclas translates as meaning valley of the green grass. The distillery is owned and run by the Grant family. The distillery has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners.
