The smoothest of smooth Rums.
You know we love a good heritage story. The roots of Saint James Rum go back to the year 1765 when the first Rum was distilled at “Habitation Trou Vaillant” in Martinique. Back in the day, it was exported to North America where it was known under the name of Rhum Saint James. Eventually, Paulin Lambert purchased “Habitation Trou Vaillant” and registered the Saint James brand with its famous square bottle. In 2015, Plantations Saint James celebrated its 250th anniversary. Now, that’s impressive.
Saint James Agricole Paille Rhum is a super smooth Rum with sweet flavors of vanilla, honey, and licorice. Bottled at a decent 80 proof, the palate is very balanced and you’ll even notice some woody flavors dancing in the background. Their oenologist Marc Sassier suggests you sip this smooth Rum in the evening, perhaps as an Aperitivo.
