The Usquaebach brand dates back several centuries. Today, they’re owned by Cobalt Brands, and serve as a blending and bottling house. Their Reserve is a blended Scotch whisky which is said to include whiskies between 16 and 18 years old, in addition to a selection of younger malts.

Usquaebach Reserve Blended Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose offers honey, hay and grass, melons and pear, and the floral notes of chrysanthemum bud.

Palate: The palate is mellow, somewhat oily, with a Highlands malt profile overall. Also find sherry and nutty notes in the background interlaced with spicy oak, cloves and a touch of black pepper.

Finish: Finish starts soft but then opens up bigger and sticks around.

Bladnoch Distillery is a Single malt Scotch whisky distillery in south west Scotland. It is one of six remaining Lowland distilleries, located at Bladnoch, near Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway. The distillery is situated on the banks of the River Bladnoch, and is the most southerly whisky distillery in Scotland.
