Situated in Akashi, within the picturesque Hyogo Prefecture and along the serene shores of the Seto Island Sea, lies the White Oak Distillery. Established by Eigashima Shuzo in 1888, the distillery has a storied history of producing Sake and Shochu, showcasing the rich tradition of Japanese spirits. In 1919, a significant milestone was achieved when Eigashima Shuzo secured a license for whisky production. The culmination of this journey took shape in 1984, as the company transitioned to its current location, giving rise to the White Oak Distillery. This facility is dedicated to the art of crafting exceptional whisky, marking a significant chapter in the distillery’s evolution.
